The Bosch Mixxo is the first cordless hand-held immersion blender in the world to use Lithium ion batteries. Lithium batteries are lighter in weight and smaller in design than the other types. They do not suffer from the memory effect and the battery lifespan remains relatively unaffected even if kept plugged in after they have been fully charged. Other rechargeable batteries may degrade in these circumstances. Lithium ion batteries provide sufficient power for all mixing/blending needs in the kitchen, including ice crushing capability and also deliver constant power for up to 20 minutes. An LED charge level indicator gives feedback at any time about the remaining energy reserves. A two-button safety switch system is part of the ergonomic soft-touch handle. The detachable, dishwasher safe, stainless steel blender foot offers an anti-splash design. The kit includes a chopper, a wall or table charging station, and a mixing container.
